Peace in Chaos
Peace in Chaos is a photographic inquiry into the relationship between emotional states and the environments we inhabit, focusing particularly on the aesthetic and psychological tensions between disorder and stillness. Created over an extended period and using a range of media—including film, digital, and mobile phone cameras-this body of work examines how internal emotional landscapes manifest visually through mundane, everyday surroundings.
Drawing upon themes of memory, identity, and affect, the images serve as both documentation and interpretation of moments shaped by introspection, loneliness, anxiety, and brief episodes of clarity or calm. The environments—often domestic or peripheral urban spaces—function as psychological extensions of the self, revealing how objects, textures, and spatial arrangements embody subjective states and historical narratives
Through formal strategies such as framing, light, and composition, the photographs elevate otherwise unremarkable scenes into sites of contemplation. These images resist the dramatic or overtly expressive, instead offering a slow, quiet observation of the emotional resonances embedded in space and material culture.
